Hello, my name is Pastor/Shepherd Larry Ballard. As head of the church, it is my heart's desire to please God in teaching His word. Secondly, to help the church -- God's people -- to know, understand, and accept that if they will only trust and obey God and His word, their lives will never be the same! They should realize that by refusing to obey God and His word that they are only hurting themselves and no one else. Finally, to assure the church family that "SATAN" is real and he only desires to KILL, STEAL, and COMPLETELY DESTROY their lives; that is his only goal.

Hello my name is Nedra Ballard. In 1998 God appointed me as first Lady of Phileo Community Church Family under the direction of Pastor Larry Ballard. God our Father called me to teach His word and share the gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone I meet. He gives me the ability to sing, speak, and teach to advance this church family. When the church chose my husband to Pastor I was also extended an invitation to unite. I enjoy worshipping at Phileo because of the church's spirit, forgiveness, love, and transparency. Hello my name is Sister Rose Williams, Church Secretary and Church School Teacher. Through my faith "I have learned to be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God's will for me in Christ Jesus." (1 Thess. 5:18). When I teach Church School, I want to encourage others. "As we accept Jesus as our Lord, we must continue to live in obedience to Him. We must be rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in our faith as we were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." (Col. 2:6,7) God Bless us all!

MUSIC MINISTRY LEADER...Hello and my name is Bro. Joe Walker. I am the Music Ministry leader and the proud father of two beautiful children, Essence and Javon Walker. At Phileo, I’m allowed to try different things-- change the method but not the message as Pastor Ballard always reminds me. Change the method and not the message is simply saying, at Phileo we try to teach, reach, and demonstrate God's love with new methods without changing God's word. God’s word was here in the beginning, its here now, and it will be here after we are long gone. So who are we to change it? So I’ve come up with some pretty creative ways to deliver God’s word through music. These are different times. These are different kinds of people. So we must do different things to reach the people. It’s a new day so we must reach the people in a new way. The world is changing so why shouldn’t Christians change too? We must adapt and evolve as the world has in order to do God’s will. We can’t continue to fight new spiritual battles with old spiritual tactics. I chose to serve God at Phileo because the Holy Spirit dwells in this church.

MEN'S MINISTRY LEADER...Hi my name is Germaine Byrd. I am known to the family as Bro. G, Bro. Byrd, and Doctor. I am also the Director of Operations & the Men's Ministry Leader. I do not just have a ministry. My ministry is to my church, which I love very much. My ministry is wherever God wants me to be. So He keeps me active in this church. It's God's supernatural way of keeping me connected to His vine. God chose me to be a member of Phileo Community Church Family... it is a body that is built on love, and I truly love being a part of it.

WOMEN'S MINISTRY LEADER...Hello my name is Debra Byrd. I am the Women's Ministry Leader and the Event Coordinator for Phileo Community Church Family. I am married to Bro Germaine Byrd and have been for the past 17 years. I am a very blessed woman who God has spoken to. I am trying to get closer to God fully in mind, body, and spirit. I have two beautiful children Victoria and Samuel, who have blessed me with three beautiful grandchildren. Taliah, Jamyia and Sammy III. I like the Pastor and his wife, they are real people. I enjoy the way they teach and their method of teaching. They help me understand things in the Bible better. I have learned why I go to church. Reverend is not only my Pastor, but also a true friend to me and my family. Pastor and Sis. Ballard are always there for me and my family. I feel at home around everyone here.

CHILDREN'S CHURCH LEADER...Hello my name is Sis. Nora Thomas. I am the Primary Children's Church Leader and the Pastoral Assistant here at this fantastic place. I have been attending here for the past year. I am daughter of Vanessa Thomas and the niece of Debra Byrd, Ebrem Dye, and Germaine Byrd here at Phileo. I am a truly blessed and highly favored child of the utmost high God. I searched fifteen years for a church like Phileo. I like Phileo because I feel like I belong, I actually understand the service, and what is being preached each Sunday. I have finally found that plus unconditional love here. I love how the pastor and teachers explain the Bible so that anyone and everyone can actually understand it. I also like how caring and considerate the church congregation is to everyone. It really feels like one big family (especially since several of the members are my family). God does work in mysterious ways, doesn't he?

GRAPHIC DESIGNER...Hello my name is Bro Zaraj Williams. I am the Graphic Designer for Phileo Community Church Family. As I am given a task, I use my creativity to make it look outstanding. I create flyers, posters and anything else God gives me.
I chose this church because the people were very inviting. Phileo is a church family trying to help families with the "Word of the Lord."
