Church History

In 1996, Nedra and I accepted the challenge of church planting. What began as Phileo Apartment Ministry soon blossomed into the Phileo Community Church. Phileo BELIEVES the church to be the visible body of Jesus Christ. Our MISSION is evangelism, discipleship, and relationships built on Biblical principles. Our PURPOSE is to discover, train, and equip new disciples to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ.

"Phileo" is a church that places you first, then the community; grows you closer to Jesus Christ; knits the family unit together; builds healthy relationships; works to make a better community; and makes an eternal difference today!

I, along with Sis. Ballard planted this church because I'm convinced I heard God say to me, "My people need to know I love them more than they love themselves. Yes, they need to be taught my word, and they also need to know about my love and my great plans for each one of their lives! They are my CHILDREN: My CREATION and I want only the best for them. However, they must learn and obey my word."
